Would you like to know who to get your idea patented? The Office of Cultural Diversity at West Kentucky Community & Technical College presents a seminar that gives insight into how to get that done. The African-American Inventions seminar welcomes guest speaker and inventor, Deloris Ragsdale-Elliott. Deloris is the Chief Executive Officer of her company, Dining U Control, Inc. She has successfully been able to get her invention for a "Wireless maitre d' system for restuarants patented through the United States Patent Office. In this seminar, Deloris talks about the sometimes slow and difficult, but rewarding, process of obtaining a U.S. patent.

WKCTC Middle College Celebration
WKCTC President Dr. Barbara Veazey hosts VIP's from the school systems of Marshall County and McCracken County as well as the chairman of the Paducah Junior College Foundation and the Executive Director of the Lay Foundation as they announce the creation of the Middle College. This program is the first of its kind in Kentucky and will target students at Marshall and McCracken County High Schools.
