Tourism Talk

Tourism Talk is hosted by the Paducah Convention and Visitor's Bureau's Executive Director, Mary Hammond. This series promotes the city of Paducah as a perfect travel destination by highlighting various events, activities, and programs happening in and around the city.

Dragon Boat Race 2013 - August 24, 2013
The first international dragon boat festival in the western hemisphere was held in San Diego, California, in June, 1983. Since then, dragon boat racing has become the fastest growing team sport in the United States. Paducah will host it's second annual dragon boat race after a very successful inaugural event. Mary Hammond sits down with River Discovery Center and race coordinator Julie Harris to talk about what to expect in the 2013 Paducah Dragon Boat Race.

AQS Quilt Show 2013: Paducah, KY - March 20, 2013
Paducah Convention and Visitor's Bureau Executive Director Mary Hammond sits down with AQS Executive Show Director Bonnie Browning to discuss the 29th Annual AQS Quilt Show & Contest in Paducah, Kentucky, April 24--27, 2013.

There will be quilts and vendors in the Paducah Expo Center, the first and second floors of the Convention Center, and the Paducah Pavilion; plus you'll find more vendors and the AQS "Hurt" Book Sale in the Finkel Building (200 Kentucky Avenue).

Lowertown Art & Music Festival - April, 2010
The festival, May 21-23, will highlight hundreds of artists from within a 200 mile radius who have been judged outstanding by an independent jury.
